An Information Systems Architect builds and develops a company’s information system (servers, operating systems, software, computers, etc.) to adapt it to the needs of its users. Possessing both IT expertise and strategy skills, they act as a liaison between management and technical teams. They may work in companies or as consultants (self-employed or for a digital services company).
They analyse the flow of information within the company and determine customer needs.
They decide on the technical architecture of the system and its division into sub-systems, while guaranteeing technical choices and cost control.
They are involved in the reconfiguration of server connection layouts.
They advise company management on the technological or organisational modifications that the new information system may require.
They coordinate a technical team, particularly during design meetings, and report on project progress.
