Head of Logistics

Head of Supply Chain

A Head of Logistics is responsible for optimising the incoming and outgoing flow of goods in order to minimise logistics costs whilst respecting the quality of the products and minimising inventories and lead times. They ensure that the goods under their supervision are transported in the best possible conditions. Their work involves organising storage, warehousing, handling, packaging and transportation. 

Tasks

  • They manage inventories and identify raw material requirements.

  • They coordinate all logistics operations, from ordering and receiving goods to shipping and delivery.

  • They are responsible for dealing with Customs and with transport companies.

  • They implement measures to ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety regulations within the supply chain.

  • They implement continuous improvement measures, manage dashboards and set up monitoring indicators.
