Design Director

A Design Director is an expert in graphic design who works in communication agencies, design studios, publishing houses and advertising agencies. They are creatives who translate a company’s message into images. They are the visual manager of a communications campaign. Their tasks are threefold: design, negotiation and technical follow-up.

Tasks

  • They create the visual identity of an advertisement, choose the images, the background, the atmosphere, the setting, the typography of the texts, the order of the information.

  • They conceptualise and apply their creativity in all modes of visual expression, including motion design, video animation, UX, etc.

  • They coordinate the work of graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and supervise the production.

  • They assure the contact with the client, analyse their expectations and convince them of the effectiveness of the project.

  • They bring originality to advertising content and create catchy messages.
