An International Product Manager is responsible for the management of a product for the international market, from its concept to its sale. They study the international market, monitor sales and look for improvements while ensuring that they meet the expectations of clients/consumers. They carry out promotional activities for their product or product range.
They monitor the competition, analyse consumer needs and analyse market research in the target countries in order to anticipate buyer needs and suggest modifications or new products.
They work with the production, finance and sales departments to coordinate product or service design, and marketing.
They develop the media plan for the product and design the communications material (brochures, product specifications, catalogues, etc.) within the confines of the allocated budget.
They suggest sales promotion campaigns to win new customers, and may conduct product tests with a panel of consumers.
They check the progress of sales, report on it and adjust the marketing plan.
