A Travel Agency Manager has three key responsibilities: to manage the agency, to manage the team of employees and to develop the agency’s business. They are therefore the driving force behind the agency. They may report to a senior manager in a travel agency network or they may operate their agency independently.
They manage their team of advisors and motivate them to ensure high-quality customer relations and an increase in turnover.
They keep abreast of the latest tourism offers by attending trade fairs and training courses, and by participating in tour operator events/visits.
They deal with their suppliers and negotiate rates to achieve their margin.
They develop the sales activity of their agency.
They are responsible for the administrative and financial management of the business, as well as for budget monitoring and HR management.
